A brief on the BMW E30 Wiper Assembly Removal and Install:

Note that the removal and replacement  of the BMW E30 Windshield wiper transmission assembly is a job that requires above average mechanical skills and supreme patience.

Remove the firewall cover, the blower cover, the blower, the blower motor lower housing (Lower housing has 4 bale clips left right front and back...don't break the recirculation flap rods when you disconnect them).

Remove the left inlet grill, disconnect the push rods from the crank on the drivers side, remove the pinion nuts attaching it to the body and remove the spacers and grommets.

Lower the WSW assy. and slide it toward the passengers side. Pull the assembly out on the drivers side of the bulkhead cover on the diagonal working the rods to gain clearance of the HVAC.

just past the rear corner of the manifold... M42 Shown very similar clearance on m20 and S14 powered e30s as well.

Installing is the reverse of removal The Mono Wiper Assembly is by far easier to install than the original unit is due to the lack of the left pinion interference
